Dear Microfluidics for Hematology 2020 Speakers & Presenters,

Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the workshop to April 2021 (exactly 1 year later) at the same venue. While we're aware that a number of meetings have moved to a virtual format this year, the highlight of the workshop in the past has been the conversations triggered by the presentations, and the discussions around the posters and talks. We're concerned that this will be lost in a virtual meeting, especially given the goal of the workshop which is to spark conversations and collaborations between engineers and clinicians and students/trainees.

Our current goal is to keep building the program, but just execute it a year later. Therefore, I am hoping that you would still be able to participate and speak at the postponed event. As we get closer to the new date and schedules shape up for 2021, we will offer you an opportunity to update your abstracts and will solicit further submissions of "latest news".

We wish you and your family safety and health.

Daniel Irimia, Co-Chair
